Meeting Minutes

October 27th 2009

  • Astronomy question answered
  • Nov 7th- Sabino Canyon star party program with Sky Center
  • Telescope funding proposal committee. Talk to Kevin or Blythe.
  • 4th graders teleconference looking successful. Meeting next week 12:50-1:45 pm.
  • 10/31 extra solar planet project meeting at 10 am in Steward rm 208. Talk to Kevin if going for first time. Call to be let into Steward.

Meeting Minutes

  • We had guest speaker Dr. Mark Smith talk about Chemistry on Titan
  • We have a star party this Friday at Mt. Lemmon
    • Details are pending
  • If you would like to talk with the Ouida Springer Elementary Astronomy Club, please meet in the lobby of Steward Observatory at 12:40pm on Friday
  • The astronomy problem of the week is posted here. Come prepared to discuss the solution to this puzzle at next week's meeting with Dr. Don McCarthy
  • We will be meeting for the Extrasolar Planet Project on Saturday at 10:00am in the Steward computer lab

Meeting Minutes

  • Guest Speaker Al Grauer gave a presentation about the NF/ Observatory webscope
  • We will have a movie night this Friday, October 9th in Steward Observatory at 7pm
  • There will NOT be an extrasolar planet project meeting this weekend
  • Next weekend on Sunday, October 18th we will be going to the 61 inch telescope on Mt. Bigelow for a tour of the facility
  • We will have a teleconference with the Ouida Springer Elementary School Astronomy Club this Friday at 1:15pm in the SkyCenter office in Steward Observatory.
  • If you have not paid dues, please try to do so asap!
